PICTURES INSIDE! it’s been a pretty common question from folks in the states since we returned to uganda. for the most part, the answer is that they pay him no attention. ttaano behaves as if he didn’t exist which is about what we predicted. ttaano is a special cat. uno fears odin a little, and will run away if he makes an unexpected cry. but i also think that uno will be the first one to come up to odin and nudge him or lick him once they get used to him. apart from the indifference to the actual boy, uno has spent plenty of quality time with odin’s belongings. jump ahead to see some pics of the cat in funny places.

we bought most of our baby stuff here in uganda from other expats just before we left for the states to have odin. the only thing we got in the states was a car seat, everything else was here in kampala waiting for us. we had never even thought about what a baby would need or want, other than we knew we didn’t want to end up with all the superfluous baby crap. as it turned out, we did really well on what we chose.

uno on odin’s turtle play gym. this thing has been great, by the way. i think we got here at just the age that odin started noticing and playing with things, so he’s been loving this.

this one is the most surprising. i would have not expected uno to like this chair. odin is a big fan of this, too. it vibrates.
